Can you remember times with loved ones? What about with those who have passed? Time spent with family is important and it is something that we choose. On the other hand, there are moments that are denied from us, never having happened. All the knowledge of my grandfather are from the stories told by my dad. This series of work is my reaction of not knowing my grandfather.
Use of the family archive and my own polaroids, embrace the power of choice that is significant to cause each one of us to keep what has been taken away with us, to move on from that point in time, or destroy our memories. Polaroids depict either the choice I made to manipulate (burn) the image, or by an external force that caused the manipulation.
